Martin Cooper is a painter and musician. He is keyboard player and occasional saxophonist for the band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. He first joined the band in 1980.

Born: October 1st, 1958 , Liverpool
Education: Laird School of Art, Birkenhead and Sheffield College of Art where he was awarded a 1st class BA Hons Degree in Fine Art.

He has exhibited in many galleries in the UK and abroad including the Royal Academy, London and galleries in Singapore and New York. He also won 2nd Prize in the Discerning Eye Exhibition in London – an annual competition for living artists.

He divides his time equally between music and painting and lives in the Wirral with his wife, Alexandra, and their two boys.
