Phil McMenemy is, truly, one of those people one meets in life and never forgets! Enthusiasm for life pours out of him on every word he utters and in every movement he makes!
His photographic work depicting natural beauty, in minute detail – a drop of water on a reed, the stillness of the moment, the point where reality fuses with reflection, the rush and turbulence of tide, the aging of stonework, the night-time silhouette of sheep – and so on and so on, is the more remarkable because Phil is totally and utterly colour blind.
His working life before becoming a full time photographer was spent first in engineering and then as a Child Mental Health Nurse, and then Manager of the Mental Health Team.
Not surprisingly, Phil has been awarded many national and international awards for photography and his work hangs in Public and Private Collections around the world.
