Karen trained as an architect but after some years gave in to her passion for sketching and painting. She works in unique annotated sketchbook diaries.
HM The Queen is Patron of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travel Fellowship, and Karen was fortunate to be awarded this enabling her to travel with her sketchbooks through France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, India and Nepal. During this time she completed 106 annotated, watercolour sketches recording her experiences, 42 of which appear in her book ‘A Fellow Traveller’.
Now married with a small son, Karen paints full time. We are pleased she was able to visit Chester for the first time and paint these paintings for us to enjoy.
